Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and fock. By using the app, you agree to them — so please read them.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the fock app ("fock," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use fock.
2. Who can use fock
You must be at least 18 years old to use fock, and able to enter into a binding agreement. You agree to give accurate information — including a real name and a valid phone number — and to keep it up to date.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep access to your phone secure — you're responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person. Don't impersonate anyone or misrepresent your neighborhood.
- Tell us at help@getfocked.com if you think someone else is using your account.
4. What fock is — and isn't
fock is a place to connect neighbors who want to lend, borrow, or give away everyday things. When you arrange an exchange, the agreement is between you and the other member. fock is not a party to it. We don't own, inspect, store, insure, or guarantee any item, and we're not responsible for whether items are returned, their condition, or any dispute between members. Use good judgment, and treat your neighbors and their things with care.
5. Community rules
fock only works if it's a place people trust. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm other members, or post hateful, abusive, or offensive content.
- List or exchange anything illegal, stolen, unsafe, or that you don't have the right to share.
- Use fock for spam, scams, commercial resale, or any unlawful purpose.
- Misrepresent who you are, where you live, or what you're offering.
- Collect other members' information, or try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put the community at risk.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, listings, and messages you post. By posting them, you give fock a non-exclusive license to host, store, and display that content as needed to run the service — for example, showing your listing to neighbors you share it with. You're responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
7. Our content
The fock app, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by Dodomu Capital, LLC and protected by law. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from them without our prior written permission.
8. Suspending or ending your account
You can delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we need to protect the community. Some safety records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
fock is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or that items or members will meet your expectations.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dodomu Capital, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of fock or any exchange between members — even if we've been advised such damages are possible. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date above. If the changes are significant, we'll do our best to let you know in the app. Continuing to use fock after an update means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of fock will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in DuPage County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
